Día de los Muertos Lives On

I know I’m a bit late on this one, but I found such a marvelous Día de los Muertos (Mexican Day of the Dead) inspired scarf during my Cancun getaway that I had to share regardless!

The calaveritas de azúcar on this Pineda Covalin scarf more than recall Alexander McQueens ever-trendy skull motif and the craftsmanship of the hand-rolled silk edges are on par with Hermès. Plus, with its delicate watercolor print, is just so darn pretty! While this scarf is a special edition Pineda Covalin Day of the Dead design, I think this is a year-round fashion find.

And after your scarf is knotted, complete the macabre marvelous look with some dark and smoldering Frida Kahlo-inspired makeup. Check out these gorge pics from Marie Claire below, and then head over to their website for tips on how to recreate the muy caliente makeup look!

Can’t live without this scarf? As a special edition design, it’s not available for sale online, but you can get your manicured paws on it by calling Pineda Covalin’s US store in Miami: 305.448.6810
