Every gal can look fabulous in lingerie, but not every piece of lingerie is fabulous on every gal. Check out my guide to buying lingerie that suits your body type below!

Rounded Tummy

If you want to hide a full tummy, look for high-waisted panties that hit at the natural waist, creating an hourglass shape while concealing any extra gut or post-baby pooch. A corset is another super sexy option that will emphasize your assets while pulling in your tummy. Draw attention upward to your décolletage with an ornate or cleavage enhancing bra.

Petite & Boyish

If you’re petite or boyish in build, you want to pick lingerie that enhances your curves, creating a more womanly figure. Pick pieces with voluminous frill where you want extra oomph, such as your chest, hips and derriere, and look at ultra flattering balconette bras for their cleavage enhancing design.

Rectangular or Boxy

Breakup a straight or thick torso with styles that highlight the natural waist and divide the body into hourglass proportions. Suspender or garter belts that hook around the waist, corsets with slenderizing belts and waist-hugging waspies are all great options. Another route is teddys; look for ones that are high cut at the hip, creating mile-long legs, and low cut at the chest.

Full Busted

Fit is king, so look for bras that fit correctly and support comfortably, leaving no marks, bumps, or overhang. Seek out specialty lingerie brands with beautiful designs, like Elle MacPherson Intimates which sizes up to size 38G, Lunaire, an intimates collection specifically designed for full-busted women that starts at 32D and goes up to a 40DDD or Lulu Tout, a lacy French-inspired collection that sizes up to an H cup. Corsets are always super sexy as are nighties with builtin bras. Delicate negliges aren’t out of the question, but consider layering them over a sexy and supportive bra. Not only is this a more flattering lingerie look for your figure, but all the layers are fun for your partner to take off.

Big Bottomed

For full bottoms, thighs and hips, consider a slinky nightie that reveals touches of tantalizing skin while covering up all the right spots. Boy shorts are another sexy way to downplay a full lower half. Pair them with an eye-catching bra to draw attention upwards.

Classic Hourglass

Most Mot lingerie will flatter a curvy and proportionate hourglass, so have some fun, and try looks in avant-garde styles and unexpected colors.
